The USACE, New Orleans District, Regulatory Branch and LADOTD conducted a scoping meeting on January 22, 2009 in Abita Springs. The purpose of this meeting was to engage members of the public and other interested parties in the scoping process for developing the DEIS. Verbal comments received at the meeting were recorded. Interested parties who chose not to speak, or were unable to attend the meeting, were advised in the public notice and at the meeting that written comments could be sent to the USACE through February 23, 2009.
